As a South Asian woman raised in Canada, I recognize the challenges that may follow with managing the demands within a Western, individualistic culture that promotes independence and autonomy and a traditional, collectivistic culture that prioritizes the role of community and religious values in shaping how we live. Exploring different perspectives and values can be a helpful step toward discovering oneself and making meaningful change. I strive to use my experiences and expertise to support others struggling with conflicting thoughts and demands.
